PFT #27 - The Line of Blueland Cleaning Products - Save Money and the Environment

Updated: Mar 5, 2022

This week’s topic is about a company called Blueland.

They produce household cleaning products with the mindset to reduce waste, specifically plastic by its owner's vision when she couldn’t find a satisfying product on the market.

So let’s start with a couple of quick hitters from their website:

We’re eating a credit card’s worth of plastic each week and 90% of the water we drink and the food we eat contain microplastics.

Secondly, by 2050, scientists predict that the ocean will contain more plastic by weight than fish.

That is daunting when you think about it.

So what are these products? You can get a complete line of cleaning solutions for the bathroom, mirrors as well as multi-surface cleaners.

In addition, there is hand soap and tablets for laundry and the dishwasher so this pretty much covers all of your cleaning needs.

So this is great; however this isn’t the fun stuff:

Once you purchase their bottles, they don't need to be replaced, rather you purchase cleaning tablets and you mix them with tap water.

Hence, there are less bottles under the sink and all of their packaging is recyclable or compostable.

In addition, their products are cruelty free, gluten free and vegan - also they are pet safe, organic and do not contain soy or nut products or byproducts.

Okay - so here’s the best part, using Blueland products saves money as the refill tablets costs only $2, while traditional competitors products cost $3 to $5 for the same amount of cleaner.

So to sum this up, we love to promote products that help the environment and put a few more dollars in your pocket.
